3 May, Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal has allowed 10 flights to take Indian residents stranded in Nepal to Saudi Arabia. According to the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, the flights have been permitted with the coordination of the Indian embassy and the permission of the Saudi authorities. Nepal Airlines has been permitted to function 7 flights from Kathmandu and three flights from Himalayan Airlines.

From May 18, Nepal Airlines and Himalayan Air, two Nepalese worldwide airways, will begin transporting Indian nationals to Saudi Arabia. According to Rajan Pokharel, Director General of NEA, Nepal Airlines Corporation and Himalayan Airlines have been allowed to function chartered flights.

Indian residents should purchase tickets by contacting the involved airline. This facility is for Indians who’re stranded in Kathmandu after the ban. Currently, visitors has been suspended in Nepal.
