8 July, Kathmandu. As many as 149 doctors have failed in the name registration test (special examination) of medical experts conducted by the Nepal Medical Council (NMC).
474 candidates took part in the 23rd special examination conducted by the council on Saturday. Out of which 325 (68.6) per cent passed and 149 (31.4 per cent) failed.
Registrar Dr. who is participating with Master’s degree in 45 different subjects. Krishna Prasad Adhikari gave this information.
The examination, conducted at the Information and Communication Technology Center of the Institute of Engineering Studies, Pulchok, was conducted in two phases from 10 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Earlier, in the Specialist Registration Certificate Examination held on January 21 and 22, 77 per cent participants had passed.
At present, about 30 thousand 133 doctors are registered in the council in the country. About 8 thousand 862 more are registered as specialist doctors.
