Annapurna cable car will start from 5 am

March 30, Kathmandu. Annapurna Cable Car in Pokhara will be operational from 5 am.

In a statement issued by the company on Monday, it has been said that this service will be operational from 5 am to 5 am. Dinesh Paudyal, General Manager, Annapurna Cable Car has informed that the Annapurna Cable Car built at Sedibagar in Pokhara Metropolitan City-18 will run from 5 am to 6 pm.

With the operation of morning service, tourists will be able to observe sunrise and sunset in the evening. The cable car has been operational since February 6. The Annapurna Cable Car distance from Sedibagar to Sarangkot is 2400 meters. The long road journey from Sedibagar to Sarangkot can be completed in just nine to 10 minutes. There are 17 gondolas and one gondola can accommodate eight people and can carry up to 500 people in an hour.

The company paid Rs. 700 for SAARC tourists and Rs. The fare for third country citizens has been fixed at dlr 800 and dalr 9. For senior citizens and persons with disabilities, 50 per cent concession in fare has been provided. The company has said that a discount of 25 percent has been provided to the students and 10 percent to the incoming members on behalf of the cooperative.

Annapurna Cable Car Operator and Director Tirtha Raj Tripathi said that the Annapurna Cable Car, which has been invested by reputed businessmen from Pokhara and Kathmandu, is estimated to cost Rs 2 billion. Although the initial cost was estimated at Rs 1.30 billion, the cost has been increased due to the transition period of COVID-19 and various structures. The local people have a 25 per cent stake in the cable car.
