Artists are always apprentices, 'superhero-superhero' debate useless: Rekha Thapa

Rekha Thapa is one such actress who has ruled the Nepali film industry for more than a decade. In the Nepali film industry, Rekha is known as an artist with more powerful stardom than the hero. Similarly, Rekha Thapa has been running slow for the last few years. Rekha, who is preparing for a new film, is hopeful that in the coming decade, a new film will come for the audience.

Rekha is not satisfied with the current state of Nepali cinema. While the sector appears to be plagued by various rumours, Rekha says that it will be affected in the long run.

Rekha says, “I respect the opinion of the audience. But, an artist is always a learner. We are all the same, because we work in Navras. Acting in one film may not work in another.’

Rekha said that adding ‘great’ is useless when people can’t be there. “I don’t think we can do that in June to confirm greatness,” she said. I also urge the audience to ignore this controversy instead of insulting anyone. I always try to be a good person. If I can become a good person then it will be the biggest award for me.

Rekha said, “People will be great with their work. The ‘superhero’ may have been born in an era. Like Prithvi Narayan Shah, Gautam Buddha, we can call Lord Krishna great.”

Rekha also argued that no human being is worthy of being great in modern times. Rekha, who is soon preparing to bring a film with a different story to the audience, argued that the media has respected her by not putting itself in controversies at this time.
