Cash and jewelery stolen in Dhangarhi during Dashain



October 1, Dhangarhi. Cash and gold jewelery were stolen from a house during Dashain in Dhangarhi of Kailali.

The theft took place in the house of Inder Bahadur Singh, resident of Bhagwati Toll located in Dhangarhi sub-metropolitan-4.

Chief Superintendent of Police Biswa Adhikari said Singh had alleged theft of Rs 230,000 in cash and about 20 tolas of gold jewelery at a police post in Kailali village.

“We have deployed a police team to probe the incident and trace the stolen cash and jewellery,” an SP official said.

Singh, secretary of the Kailali Taekwondo Association, said the theft took place when he had gone to his ancestral home Doti to celebrate Dashain.

He told that while going to celebrate Dashain, breaking the lock of the main door and accusing him of stealing jewelery and cash, a complaint was lodged with the police and appealed to the neighbors to take care of the house.
