23 August, Kathmandu. Jitendra Bahadur Chand has been elected as the President of Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA).
According to the results of the referendum held on Thursday morning, outgoing working committee general secretary Chand won by 76 votes.
Chand defeated another candidate, Neeroz Maske, by 26 votes. Outgoing Executive Committee vice chairman Maske received 50 votes. A total of 128 votes were cast in the election.
Roshan Kumar Shrestha of Chand Panel won the post of General Secretary by 85 votes. Another candidate for the post of general secretary Manveer Chantyal got 39 votes.
There were 48 candidates for 28 posts. Out of 7, 5 Vice Presidents and 5 Secretaries were elected unopposed.
Madan Khadka (Province 1), Upendra Kumar Yadav (Madhesh Pradesh), Yam Bahadur Gurung (Gandaki), Bhim Oli (Lumbini) and Harak Singh Dhami (Sudurpachim) were elected unopposed as vice-presidents.
Gautam Lachiwa won from Bagmati province by getting 64 votes. Another candidate Jyoti KC got 59 votes. It is vacant as there is no candidate for Karnali province.
Muhammad Firoz (Madhesh), Sunkeshri Mali (Bagmati), Sridhar Sharma (Gandaki), Som Bahadur Shrestha ‘Mangal’ (Karnali), Ganesh Singh Thagunna (Sudurpachim) were elected unopposed as the secretaries.
Vinod Subedi won by 65 votes in Province 1 for the post of secretary. Vishwaraj Dhimal got 44 votes.
Jhak Bahadur Midun got 73 votes and defeated Deepak GM as secretary of Lumbini. Deepak got 37 votes.
Similarly, Shyam Krishna Shrestha, a close aide of treasurer Chand, won by 78 votes. His rival Rita Koirala got 46 votes.
Out of 22 nominations for 11 members, former national team captain Anju Shrestha won the most by 85 votes. Similarly, Chandra Vadana Rai with 75, Raj Kumar Gurung 73, Junu Punmagar 73, Jitendra Shrestha 69, Ganga Thapa Shrestha 68, Kumar Rai 67, Raj Bahadur Khadka 59, Deepak Lama 58, Praveen Shrestha 56 and Dinesh Shrestha were members with 52 votes. live as. ,
