20 October, Kathmandu. Manchester City beat Fulham 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday night after scoring the deciding goal in injury time.
Within half an hour of the first half at the Etihad Stadium, Haaland entered the field as a substitute and scored the winning goal via penalty.
Earlier, Julian Alvarez scored in the 17th minute to give City an early lead.
City suffered another blow in the 26th minute. Defender Joao Cancello was handed a red card and Fulham was awarded a penalty.
After Canslow tackled Fulham’s Harry Wilson in the penalty area, Fulham had a penalty opportunity and the referee showed Canslow a red card. Fulhawk’s Andres Pereira scored a penalty to equalize the game.
City were under pressure after losing a game. In the 64th minute, City fielded Haaland in place of Alvarez, the goalkeeper. Although Holland scored in the 74th minute, the opportunity to take the lead was missed as VAR did not recognize it.
But City got a penalty in the fifth minute of injury time and Holland converted it to give City a thrilling win.
After the win, City have risen to the top with 32 points from 13 matches. Arsenal, having played one game less, are in second place with 31 points. Arsenal will play against Chelsea in the London derby on Sunday.
In the next match, Brighton beat Wolves 3–2, Leeds beat Bournemouth 4–3 and Leicester City beat Everton 2–0. Brighton are sixth, Leeds 12th and Leicester 13th. Brentford and Nottingham Forest drew 2-2 and scored points.
