October 21, Dhangarhi. Pushkarnath Ojha, who is running in the action of Nepali Congress, has made preparations to run as a member of the House of Representatives in the election to be held from Kailali constituency number 5 on November 4. As the Election Commission has fixed the time for nomination of the candidate on Sunday (Persian), Ojha has started discussing about his candidature with his close relatives.
At the Ruwas Hotel in Dhangarhi, Ojha is currently in discussions with his relatives as he will contest for the upcoming elections. Sources close to him have informed that he is in consultation on how to proceed. A source close to Ojha told Online News, “It is almost certain that Pushkar Dai will run as a member of the House of Representatives.”
It is being told that after taking necessary decisions based on the suggestions that will be discussed, Ojha is preparing to announce his candidature through a press conference by Friday evening.
Ojha was also aspiring for election to the 2074 House of Representatives. But after party president Sher Bahadur Deuba gave ticket to his wife Arju Rana, Ojha was furious. Arju was defeated by Naradamuni Rana of CPN-UML. For non-cooperation in the election, Nepali Congress punished Ojha for not being an active member.
This time too, the single-recommended Arju as the candidate of the House of Representatives from Kailali-5 has opted for proportional representation seeing signs of not being supported by Ojha. After Arju’s inclusion in the proportional list, there was talk of Congress issuing action against Ojha and giving ticket to Kailali-5.
However, some leaders have been claiming that Deuba has asked Diliraj Pant, a former member of the Sudurpashim provincial assembly, to prepare for contesting as a member of the House of Representatives. Therefore those leaders claim that there is no possibility of migration.
Sources claim that preparations are being made to make Arju’s personal secretary nephew Prakash Deuba a candidate from the provincial assembly ‘B’.
