Cold snap across the country: temperature of Jumla reached two degrees



13 October, Kathmandu. The mercury has gone up in the entire country including the Kathmandu Valley. The minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has come down from 12.1 degrees on Friday to 10.6 degrees Celsius today. According to the Water and Meteorological Department, the average daily temperature in the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, has started declining by one to two degrees Celsius.

Department’s meteorologist Shanti Kandel said that the temperature is increasing continuously. Even though it is sunny in the afternoon, but it feels cold in the morning and evening. According to the division, winter begins with the influence of western winds in the Nepalese environment. Even the afternoon temperature has been recording a drop of two to three degrees Celsius for the past few days.

Presently, the hilly and hilly areas of the country are generally partly cloudy and the rest of the country has generally clear weather. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high mountains and mountains.

According to the latest details of the Meteorological Forecasting Department, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is 10.6 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is 25.5 degree Celsius. Similarly, the minimum temperature in Jumla was 2.2 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature in Janakpur was 31.0 degree Celsius.
