Kathmandu. A new edition of the beauty pageant ‘Heritage Pageants’ will be held in Thailand next November. The organiser, e-Planet Singapore, issued a statement saying that preparations for the new edition of the contest have begun.
Santosh Sapkota, President of the Organizing Body and Rosin Shakya, Fashion Choreographer, are the Chairmen of this competition, which is going to start with the aim of awakening and promoting the heritage and culture of different countries. The event coordinators of the competition, which also opened applications, are Susan Sanfurmi Koh and local coordinator Fantip Srivaranyo.
Santo Sapkota, president of the organizing body, said that women in the age group of 18 to 28 years and 20 to 45 years can participate in the competition. The Heritage Pageant is an international beauty pageant. It is said that it will try to promote peace, environment, tourism, culture and global heritage from a global perspective.
The competition was first organized in Nepal in 2014 with the original slogan ‘Buddha and Mount Everest are our campaign to promote Nepalese identity, heritage, culture, tourism and promotion’. The second edition of the competition was held in New Delhi, India in 2015, the third edition in 2016 in Sri Lanka, the fourth edition in 2019 in Singapore and the fifth edition in 2022 in Malaysia.
