Hindi dub of 'Prem Geet 3' recognized as a Nepali film by Ministry of Communications

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has declared the Hindi version of ‘Love Song 3’ as a Nepali film. After this decision of the ministry, the Hindi version of ‘Prem Geet 3’ has also got a chance to be screened with the same features as Nepali films. Also, there is no need to pay 15 per cent development fee.

Ministry of Communications spokesperson and Censor Board chairman Seventak Pokharel said that it has been decided to call ‘Prem Geet 3’ a Nepali film.

‘Nepalese artists and Nepali technicians have worked, but there is no reason to call it a foreign film as it is made by a Nepali company. We came to the conclusion that it is a Nepali film,’ Pokhrel told Khabar Online.

After the board recommended that Hindi love song 3 be censored at par with foreign films by paying a 15 per cent fee, the ministry called chairman Bhuvan KC for clarification.

Ministry spokesperson Pokharel told Chairman K.C. He inquired about the censor controversy and developments from Pokharel said, ‘After our talk, he (Bhuvan KC) was also convinced,’ now the film will be released accordingly.’

After the foreign film contract was signed by the board, the distributor submitted an application to the ministry. Soon after this application, the ministry called Board President KC for discussion.

After the decision of the ministry, the way is now open for ‘Prem Geet 3’ to be censored in Hindi and it is certain that it will be shown tomorrow. After this decision of the ministry, now an example will be set for films to be dubbed in other languages.
