The Nepalese in Sydney Australia are planning grand preparations to celebrate the Holi – the festival of colors. The event will be held on March 7 at the Marana Auditorium Horsville, which is organized by the Association of Nepal Tarai in Australia.
According to general secretary of the association Nitish Gupta, Nepali pop singer Askana Shakya, folk singer Raviraj Shah and Bhojpuri singer Sunil Pandit have confirmed the particiaption in program.
It is expected that around 700 Nepalese will participate in the event, all of them will be able to color each other, enjoy the Holi songs and taste traditional dishes made in Nepal on the occasion of Holi.
Ticket rates for the event is 15 Australian dollar.
President Pravin Chaurasia said that every year, festivals like Chhath, Holi and Eid are celebrated to save the culture of Terai.
