Landslide fell on a moving scooty in Surkhet, 2 injured



October 21, Surkhet. Two people were injured after a landslide occurred on a moving scooter in Burani, Surkhet. According to the District Police Office Surkhet, the driver of the scooty is 29-year-old Kamal Pant and 25-year-old Suresh Nepali, resident of Birendranagar Municipality-4, among the injured.

District Police Office spokesperson Surkhet Suraj Karki said that on Friday afternoon, Karnali Pradesh 002001 P 5304 was hit by a landslide on a scooter going from Birendranagar to Chinchu.

Police said that both the injured are being treated at Surkhet Hospital in Birendranagar. DSP Karki said that his condition is normal with injuries to his head and hand.

Police said that the scooter got buried in the landslide and the road is also blocked now. Vehicles entering and leaving Surkhet have come to a standstill due to road blockade.
