26 August, Kathmandu. Fatima Sumar, Vice President, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) met Finance Minister Janardan Sharma. Vice President Sumer and Finance Minister Sharma met within the Finance Ministry at Singha Durbar on Saturday.
Sumar had reached Kathmandu on Thursday and met the president of the primary opposition occasion CPN-UML and former prime minister KP Sharma Oli, president of the CPN-Unified Socialist Party and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, chairman of the CPN-Maoist. Center and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and the President of the Federal Council of the Janata Samajwadi Party. She had met Baburam Bhattarai and one other president, Upendra Yadav.
According to the Finance Minister’s Secretariat, throughout the assembly held on Saturday, Vice President Sumar requested the Parliament to approve and implement the MCC on the earliest. In response to this, Finance Minister Sharma mentioned that the problem of whether or not or to not approve MCC remains to be beneath dialogue.
