National men's football team leaves Qatar


August 25, Kathmandu. The Nepalese nationwide males’s soccer staff has left for Qatar to arrange for the SAAF Championships. The staff left for Qatar on Friday by Qatar Airways.

Nepal goes to make additional preparations in Qatar for the clear championship to be held in Maldives. Nepal will prepare in Qatar for about two weeks.

Head coach Abdullah Almutari has already arrived in Qatar. While in Qatar, the Nepalese staff will take the initiative for a pleasant match, Almutari stated. He quickly went there to make preparations.

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had bid farewell to the Nepalese staff on Thursday. After coaching in Qatar, the Nepalese staff will depart for the Maldives on September 27 for the SAAF Championships. The thirteenth version of the Mela Championship might be held from October 1 to October 16.

This time 5 groups will compete on a spherical robin foundation and the highest two groups will advance to the finals. Bhutan has not participated resulting from Covid, whereas Pakistan is underneath a FIFA ban.
