August 27, Kathmandu. Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has referred to as prime leaders for dialogue on ending the blockade of Parliament on Monday. After the principle opposition CPN-UML disrupted Parliament, Speaker Sapkota referred to as prime leaders of main events for dialogue in Parliament at 2:30 pm on Monday, his press adviser Sridhar Nupane stated.
The CPN-UML has been obstructing parliament to protest the Speaker’s refusal to acknowledge the works of 14 MPs.
On Sunday, Speaker Sapkota held discussions with the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and MPs from CPN-UML. During the dialogue, the UML took a stand to take care of the blockade of Parliament until an environment of confidence is created by the Speaker.
UML chief whip Vishal Bhattarai stated, “We will not allow Parliament to function until the injustice done to us is explained.” UML leaders accused Speaker Sapkota of taking part in a task within the UML cut up.
Chief Whip Bhattarai, Whip Shanta Chaudhary, Leader Khagraj Adhikari had been current within the dialogue with Speaker Sapkota. Bhattarai stated, “We have made it clear that the speaker has played an important role in dividing the party.”
Speaker Sapkota had stated that an environment of belief can be created. But Law Minister Karki had proposed that the problem needs to be mentioned on the highest political stage. After this, Speaker Sapkota stated that the talks might be taken ahead at the next stage.
UML has been obstructing the House of Representatives since September 8. The revised finances for the present fiscal 12 months 2078/79 has additionally been offered amidst the UML constraint. However, the following assembly has been postponed until August 12 because of the blockade of UML.
The UML has been obstructing Parliament by saying that the Speaker has not applied the choice to sack 14 individuals, together with former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
