March 7, Kathmandu. Nepalese national cricket team opener Kushal Bhurtel has scored his maiden century in T20 Internationals.
Kushal scored his maiden T20 International century in the ICC T20 Global Qualifier against the Philippines in Oman on Saturday.
Bhurtel played 57 balls and completed his century with the help of 13 fours and one six.
After this century, Kushal Bhurtel has equaled the record of former captain Paras Khadka for scoring more than 50 runs in T20 Internationals for Nepal five times. Kushal had earlier scored four fifties.
Kushal, who made his debut in the triangular T20 series in Nepal in 2021, has achieved this feat by playing 8 matches.
He also became the third player to score a century for Nepal in efficient T20Is. Earlier, Paras and Gyanendra Malla have scored centuries.
Former captain Paras also scored a century and four fifties.
Dipendra has also completed half century in the game against Philippines.
