With the help of half-centuries from Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks, South Africa completed the target of 259 runs by defeating West Indies by 6 wickets on Sunday.
In the match played at Centurion, South Africa completed the target of 259 runs at the loss of 4 wickets with 7 balls remaining. After the win, South Africa have leveled the three-match series 1-1.
Chasing a big target, openers De Kock and Reza shared a 152-run partnership for the first wicket for South Africa in 10.5 overs.
De Kock scored 100 runs in 44 balls with the help of 9 fours and 8 sixes. Reza scored 68 runs in 28 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes.
Captain Aiden Markram scored an unbeaten 38 off 21 balls. He hit 4 fours and 1 six.
Heinrich Klaasen scored an unbeaten 16 off 7 balls with the help of 3 fours. Roy Russo scored 16 and David Miller scored 10 runs.
Earlier, electing to bat first after losing the toss, West Indies scored 258 for the loss of 5 wickets with a century from Johnson Charles. Charles played 46 balls and scored 118 runs with the help of 10 fours and 11 sixes.
