Speaking at an event organized by the All Nepal Women’s Association, which is close to the UMA, Oli, who is also a former prime minister, said that due to the sudden arrival of indigestible content on TikTok, there is a situation where they have to hurry. Oli also discussed the distortions happening in social media while encouraging women to move forward in politics. She further said, “The women’s movement should not be allowed to go on the path of perversion, it should not be allowed.”

“We respect everyone. However, after doing activities that destroy your self-respect, you have to stop it now. You have to run away from that tiktok quickly. Unable to see. We should not let ourselves wander like this.”

President Oli linked the social media TikTok distortion to the women’s movement and urged them not to do so. He also emphasized that such movements should be carried forward through various positive actions, development and politics.

When he was the Prime Minister, KP Oli had created his verified account on Tiktok under the name “KP Sharma Oli”. His account, which has nearly 130,000 followers on TikTok, has stopped uploading new videos for over a year.
