Why did Elon Musk close Twitter offices in Delhi and Mumbai?

Kathmandu. Twitter has closed two of its offices in India. The company has closed its offices in Delhi and Mumbai and asked its employees to work from home. However, a Twitter office in Bengaluru will remain operational.

After buying the Twitter company last year, Elon Musk has been taking various decisions ranging from staff cuts to other decisions. Musk has already cut 80 percent of Twitter’s workforce in India. Finally, they decided to close the Twitter offices in Delhi and Mumbai.

India is not the first country where Musk has decided to close the Twitter office. Even before this, Twitter offices have been closed in different countries. The closure of the two offices in India is part of Twitter’s cost-cutting measures.

Remember, due to financial crisis, Twitter could not even pay the rent for its offices in San Francisco and London. Because of this the contractors sued Twitter. The Twitter company has been running at a loss for a long time.
