With 9-wicket win over Sudurpaschim, Koshy’s chances are strong



13 Chait, Kathmandu. Koshi Province strengthened their chances of reaching the final of the Lalitpur Mayors Women’s Championship T20 tournament with a comprehensive 9-wicket win over Sudurpaschim Province.

With this victory, Koshy has strengthened his chances of playing the finals by staying in the top two. Koshy chased down the target of 83 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 15.3 overs for a modest victory.

In Koshi’s victory, Kajol Shrestha remained unbeaten on 40 off 50 balls with the help of 5 fours. Captain Ruvina Chhetri Belbase scored 2 runs in 41 balls with the help of 2 fours. Kajol and Ruveena shared a 73-run partnership in 13.4 overs for the first wicket and brought the team close to an easy victory.

Apsari Begum, who came in third, remained unbeaten after scoring 4 runs in 4 balls with the help of 1 four. Kavita Joshi took one wicket from Sudurpaschim.

Earlier, the team of Sudurpaschim Pradesh, who got the invitation to bat first after losing the toss, got all out for 82 runs in 18.5 overs. Sudurpaschim were in a strong position of 79-3 in 16 overs but lost 7 wickets in the next 17 balls for two runs.

Captain Vindu Rawal scored 30 runs and Jakkan Khadka scored 16 runs from Sudurpaschim. Ritu Kanojia got out after scoring 13 runs.
