Accredited by the British Engineering Council and the British Computer Society, this program is affiliated with the University of the West of England.
Nepal Rastra Bank Deputy Governor Bam Bahadur Mishra formally inaugurated the program at an event held on Thursday.
Stating that the NRB has also seen a shortage of skilled manpower in the area of cyber security, Mishra expressed happiness that British colleges are starting to run such courses.
Expressing the bitter reality of bringing in costly manpower from Singapore to investigate ATM hacks in Nepal, Mishra expressed confidence that the British College would create manpower to contribute in this area.
Rajan Kandel, Founder and CEO of the college said that there is a huge demand in the field of cyber security and digital forensics as Nepal is rapidly moving towards digital economy.
The college will start offering the program ‘BSc (Hans) Cyber Security and Digital Forensics’ from January 2022.
